Introducing BIG4 West Beach Parks Sensory Room

We are thrilled to announce that we have created a fabulous, new sensory room for use by families with a child or children on the Autism spectrum. The room is filled with all the features you would expect to see in a sensory room, as outlined below. Our hope is that children living with autism can enjoy their holiday at BIG4 West Beach Parks with the added comfort of a familiar and happy space if they are ever feeling overwhelmed.

The room includes a lamp projecting soothing blue ocean waves on the ceiling, calming music, a large hammock, a crash mat, weighted blankets and cushions which provide a variety of tactile experiences. Guests will also find a peanut shaped gym ball to bounce on, and a large time clock to help children finish their time in the room.

This is the second sensory room to open in a BIG4 Park across Australia, following from the success of the sensory room opened in BIG4 Renmark earlier in the year. We invite any feedback from our guests as they explore and trial our new sensory room. Feedback can be sent to
