Coronavirus (COVID-19) update: Guest and visitor information * Updated May 21st 2020*

We are pleased to advise that BIG4 West Beach Parks is now open for all South Australians. 

For now, West Beach Parks Resort will remain closed and we will be wel­com­ing trav­el­ers from July 1st.

As our Hol­i­day Park accom­mo­da­tion reopens, so do most of its guest facil­i­ties. We will reopen our pool, camp kitchen and oth­er com­mu­nal facil­i­ties. A ten-per­son lim­it will be enforced across all our facil­i­ties. For now, our gym and games room will remain closed. 

Be assured that we will ensure your stay with us is as safe and spe­cial as it has always been. We will fol­low all gov­ern­ment guide­lines on social dis­tanc­ing and have imple­ment­ed a triple-clean régime across the precinct. 

Thank you to every guest…past, present and future…for your ongo­ing sup­port through­out this chal­leng­ing time. It is much appreciated.

FAQs…what you need to know

What facil­i­ties are open at BIG4 West Beach Parks? 

All our facil­i­ties except the gym and the games room will be open from Mon­day 11 May 2020. For the most part, there will be a ten peo­ple max­i­mum on our facil­i­ties, includ­ing the pool and the Hub. How­ev­er, every facil­i­ty does have its own occu­pan­cy lev­el that based on the size of build­ing. Max­i­mum capac­i­ty for each build­ing will be clear­ly dis­played out­side each. 

Is The Shack open?

We don’t intend to open The Shack imme­di­ate­ly, how­ev­er, we will review this deci­sion every week. 

Why are you not open­ing the Resort? 

It is ear­ly days and we have decid­ed to adopt a phased and con­trolled approach to reopen­ing. At this stage, we can accept only SA trav­ellers so do not antic­i­pate a huge demand for our Resort accommodation. 

Why are you not open­ing the gym? 
We are fol­low­ing the gov­ern­ment guide­lines and are not per­mit­ted to open our gym just yet.

How are you going to enforce social distancing?
We are con­fi­dent our guests will adhere to the appro­pri­ate social dis­tanc­ing guide­lines, how­ev­er, addi­tion­al staff will reg­u­lar­ly mon­i­tor and man­age all com­mu­nal facilities. 

What hap­pens if peo­ple ignore social distancing? 

We do not antic­i­pate that many guests will ignore our social dis­tanc­ing require­ments. We will, how­ev­er, involve police if necessary. 

What addi­tion­al clean­ing mea­sures are you implementing?

Pro­vid­ing a COVID-19 safe envi­ron­ment for our guests is our pri­or­i­ty. We have imple­ment­ed a triple clean régime across all areas of the precinct, includ­ing all accom­mo­da­tion, swim­ming pool, the Hub and com­mu­nal bathrooms. 

What if there sec­ond wave of infec­tion? Will you close again? 

We have through­out this pan­dem­ic adhered to all gov­ern­ment guide­lines and instruc­tions and we will con­tin­ue to do so. 

Can we have vis­i­tors while we are stay­ing at BIG4?

The safe­ty of our guests is para­mount. At present, we will not allow guests to have vis­i­tors join them onsite

I don’t feel well. Can I still come?
The wel­fare of our employ­ees and guests is our pri­or­i­ty and we ask that if you who feel unwell you can­cel your stay.

What forms of pay­ment will you accept? 

We can accept cred­it or deb­it card pay­ment only 

What is your cur­rent can­cel­la­tion policy?

For any new book­ings made from May 1 for trav­el between May 1 and August 31 the fol­low­ing will apply: 

  • All indi­vid­ual (FIT) book­ings can be can­celled up to 72 hours pri­or to arrival with no can­cel­la­tion fee

  • Group book­ings of up to 10 cab­ins up can be can­celled up to 72 hours pri­or to arrival with no can­cel­la­tion fee 

  • Group book­ings larg­er than 10 cab­ins will be restrict­ed to stan­dard hotel terms & con­di­tions on cancellation

  • If the book­ing is can­celled at least 30 days pri­or to sched­uled arrival, the book­ing will be ful­ly refundable

  • If the book­ing is can­celled less than 30 days pri­or to sched­uled arrival, the book­ing deposit will be held in cred­it to be used with­in 18 months and the bal­ance of the book­ing will be refunded

Can­cel­la­tion for Exist­ing Book­ings made before May 12020

For all cus­tomers with book­ings with trav­el dates till 31 August 2020 the fol­low­ing will apply:

  • If the book­ing is can­celled at least 30 days pri­or to sched­uled arrival, the book­ing will be ful­ly refundable

  • If the book­ing is can­celled less than 30 days pri­or to sched­uled arrival, the book­ing deposit will be held in cred­it to be used with­in 18 months and the bal­ance of the book­ing will be refunded
