West Beach Parks Clean­li­ness State­ment and Action Plan

Here at West Beach Parks, the com­fort, safe­ty and enjoy­ment of our guests and team is our priority.

Every day, we main­tain the high­est stan­dards of clean­li­ness and hygiene through­out our precinct to ensure a safe and stress free expe­ri­ence for all who stay, work and play with us.

With the unprece­dent­ed chal­lenge of COVID19, we have now intro­duced a range of clean­ing pro­to­cols in addi­tion to our already thor­ough processes.

Pub­lic spaces:
We have increased the fre­quen­cy of clean­ing and dis­in­fect­ing in all our pub­lic areas, includ­ing our camp kitchen, com­mu­nal bath­rooms, pool area and recep­tion areas. You’ll also find hand sani­tis­ers through­out the site and we have strict social dis­tanc­ing require­ments through­out the precinct.

Guest rooms:
In addi­tion to our already rig­or­ous clean­ing process­es, addi­tion­al dis­in­fect­ing process­es have been imple­ment­ed in our guest accom­mo­da­tion. Every cab­in, eco-tent, shack and bath­room is cleansed after guests depart and before new guests arrive. All areas are thor­ough­ly cleaned with increased atten­tion to hard and high touch surfaces.

Behind the scenes:
We’ve also made changes in our back of house areas. We have increased the fre­quen­cy of clean­ing and dis­in­fect­ing with a focus on high touch areas includ­ing entrances, lock­er rooms, linen rooms, bath­rooms and offices and of course food prepa­ra­tion areas. All our staff have received addi­tion­al train­ing on all clean­ing pro­ce­dures and per­son­al hygiene requirements.

West Beach Parks is an Tourism Indus­try Coun­cil South Aus­tralia accred­it­ed COVID19 Clean Prac­tis­ing busi­ness and is fol­low­ing all guide­lines of the Car­a­van Indus­try Asso­ci­a­tion of Australia.


As per the recent SA Gov­ern­ment direc­tion, West Beach Parks, at this stage, can allow a max­i­mum of 125 guests in each pool area at any one time. This applies to both our BIG4 Hol­i­day Park and The Retreat pool areas. Thank you for your co-operation

FAQs…what you need to know

What are the BIG4 West Beach Parks and The Retreat at West Beach Parks Con­di­tions of Entry?

In the best inter­est of all of our guests and staff the fol­low­ing con­di­tions of entry must be adhered to:

1. Any­one who has res­pi­ra­to­ry symp­toms or fever (>37.5°C), even if they only have mild symp­toms, MUST:

- Advise staff Imme­di­ate­ly get test­ed for COVID-19 and;

- Place them­selves in iso­la­tion until they have received their result.

2. Every­one must com­ply with gov­ern­ment and Pub­lic Health Order direc­tions while on the premis­es. This includes but is not lim­it­ed to:

- 1 per­son per 2 sqm rule applies in all com­mu­nal areas such as BBQ areas, camp kitchens, laun­dries, etc.

- Main­tain 1.5 metres phys­i­cal distancing.

3. Every­one must prac­tice good hand hygiene.

4. All guests, includ­ing long-term casu­als MUST com­plete a guest dec­la­ra­tion at check-in/ar­ri­val.

5. Park rules, con­di­tions and staff instruc­tions must be followed.

How are you going to enforce social distancing?

We are con­fi­dent our guests will adhere to the appro­pri­ate social dis­tanc­ing guide­lines, how­ev­er, addi­tion­al staff will reg­u­lar­ly mon­i­tor and man­age all com­mu­nal facilities.

What hap­pens if peo­ple ignore social distancing?

We do not antic­i­pate that many guests will ignore our social dis­tanc­ing require­ments. We will, how­ev­er, involve police if necessary.

Can we have visitors while we are staying at BIG4 West Beach Parks or The Retreat at West Beach Parks ?

Here at West Beach Parks, we love to share the joy and we encourage our guests to welcome visitors onsite during their stay.

Guests can invite onsite a maximum of five visitors per day for a small charge of $5 per person. A family pass (2 adults & 2 children) is also available for $15. All visitors should call in at reception upon arrival to organise their onsite access.

Please note that while visitors are welcome to use most facilities onsite, they are not able to use the pool facilities. With current SA Government restrictions, our pool area capacity is limited to 125 people and this is reserved for those guests who are staying with us.

What addi­tion­al clean­ing mea­sures are you implementing?

Pro­vid­ing a COVID safe envi­ron­ment for our guests is our pri­or­i­ty. We are com­ply­ing with COVID-19 clean­ing stan­dards as out­lined by the Car­a­van Indus­try Asso­ci­a­tion of Aus­tralia.

What if there sec­ond wave of infec­tion? Will you close again?

We have through­out this pan­dem­ic adhered to all gov­ern­ment guide­lines and instruc­tions and we will con­tin­ue to do so.

I don’t feel well. Can I still come?

The wel­fare of our employ­ees and guests is our pri­or­i­ty and we ask that if you who feel unwell you can­cel your stay.
