The sporting facilities at West Beach Parks have played host to large national and international events such as: National Baseball Championships, Pacific School Games, Special Olympics National Games and South Australian School based sports.
Sports Facilities for Hire
West Beach Parks Football Centre
Located on the eastern side of Barratt Reserve and is the first of its kind in
South Australia. The facility is a FIFA 2-star synthetic pitch and is currently
home to the Adelaide Lady Reds W-League team.
Anderson Reserve
Home to Glenelg Baseball Club, Anderson Reserve is located on the southern end of the precinct on the edge of the Patawalonga River. Here you will find 3 immaculate baseball diamonds, batting cages as well as the Holdfast Bay Canoe Club.
Barratt Reserve
The perfect venue for sporting competitions and carnivals, Barratt Reserve is a multi-use playing field, setups include:
- 7 full-size football pitches or 6 + 2 junior pitches
- 8 touch football fields
- 14 softball diamonds
- 6 Australian Rules junior football ovals
Dicolor Australia Stadium / Diamond Sports SA
This complex is the most recent sporting addition to West Beach Parks which opened in late 2015. It’s home to both Baseball and Softball SA, and more recently home to the national team Adelaide Bite. The venue consists of three diamonds, an indoor training facility, and corporate offices. This facility has and will continue to provide opportunities to attract high-quality local, national, and international competition.
Tennis
West Beach Parks offers 4 lit asphalt courts available at all times for the public.
The West Beach Tennis Centre has an additional 6 hard courts and 8 grass courts.
